In his journey from the football field to the school building, JoJuan Armour embraced a passion first mindset to bring about positive change. For JoJuan, success depends not only on an individual's thinking and actions, but also on the opportunities to demonstrate and reinforce those positive behaviors.  

In this moving and impactful webinar, JoJuan will present effective strategies for building more positive, connected, and safer school communities. In sharing his own experience working to implement a mindset-based learning program in schools and throughout the larger community, JoJuan will discuss how mindset learning has positively impacted his students, helping them: 

• Identify patterns of thoughts and feelings that contribute to their behavior.  
• Develop their emotional intelligence.  
• Determine their passions by identifying intrinsic motivations. 

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the value of mindsets-based learning in transforming schools and communities and empowering students, teachers, and staff to build relationships, foster dialogue, and create connection and a sense of belonging for all.  

About the Presenter: As former Program Manager for the City of Toledo’s Mayor’s Initiative to Reduce Gun Violence, JoJuan Armour developed community partnerships and implemented a mindsets-based social emotional learning program in the city, resulting in significant improvements in neighborhoods struggling with gun violence. JoJuan is an Educator, Human Services Administrator, and former professional football player.
