Learn why social and emotional learning helps
prepare the workforce of tomorrow!
Many business leaders agree that social and emotional learning (SEL) helps prepare the workforce of tomorrow. The skills that companies seek —communication, teamwork, initiative, problem-solving, and more—are the skills developed through SEL education.
In this engaging and insightful webinar, presenters Sue McCormick, Reginald McGregor, and Dr. Torrey Adams:
- Share their expectations for their future workforce and how social emotional learning aligns with building the workforce of tomorrow as it relates both to their industries and the world at large
- Elevate the connection between workforce skills and social and emotional skill-building (in school/out of school)
- Begin a public discussion about the kind of workforce we, as a country, need and want to build
At the conclusion of this session, participants will better understand these truths shared by many business leaders: SEL is workforce readiness, educators teach skills that business leaders are looking for in their employees, and America’s workforce greatly values young people’s social and emotional skills.
